Account Deletion Policy – Bharat Svasthya

Effective Date: April 27, 2026

Bharat Svasthya (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides users with the ability to delete their account and associated personal data directly within the app, in compliance with applicable laws and Apple App Store guidelines.

  1. In-App Account Deletion
    Users can initiate account deletion directly within the app:
    • Open the Profile section
    • Tap Delete Account (available next to Logout)
    • Confirm your request by following the on-screen steps
    This option is always accessible to users and does not require contacting support.
  2. Identity Verification
    To prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may verify your identity using your registered email address, mobile number, or account credentials before processing the request.
  3. What Is Deleted
    Upon successful verification and request submission:
    • Your account will be permanently deleted
    • Personal information such as:
      • Name
      • Phone Number
      • Email Address
      • Profile Details
    • This information will be removed from our active systems
  4. Data Retention (Limited and Lawful Purposes Only)
    Some data may be retained temporarily or as required by law:
    • Medical records: Retained as required under applicable healthcare regulations
    • Transaction or audit logs: Retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution
    Retention Period:
    • Retained data is stored securely for a maximum of 45 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law
    • After this period, data is permanently deleted or anonymized
    We do not use retained data for advertising or marketing purposes.
  5. Effect of Deletion
    Once deletion is completed:
    • You will no longer be able to access your account
    • All associated services will be terminated
    • The deletion process is irreversible
  6. Processing Timeline
    Requests are processed within 7–15 working days after successful verification. Deletion may occur sooner in most cases.
  7. Exceptions
    We may delay or refuse deletion only if required to:
    • Comply with legal obligations
    • Resolve ongoing disputes or enforce agreements
    • Meet regulatory requirements (e.g., medical data retention laws)
